A government recruitment may have an application fee only when it is published on the agency's official website and paid through its official portal.
Common warning signs
An offer or joining letter arrives without a real interview.
The pay is unusually high for simple work, or the recruiter creates artificial urgency.
The recruiter uses a personal email address, communicates only on WhatsApp or Telegram, or will not point you to the company's official careers page.
You are asked to pay a personal UPI ID or bank account, share an OTP, or provide bank and identity documents before the employer is verified.
Verify before you apply
Find the same vacancy on the employer's official careers site; do not rely only on the link or phone number in a message.
Check that the recruiter's email domain matches the employer's real website and contact the company through a separately found official number if unsure.
Never share an OTP, PIN or password. Delay sensitive ID or bank documents until you have verified the employer and reached a legitimate hiring stage.
What we filter automatically

If you already paid someone
Contact your bank or payment provider immediately. Call India's cyber-fraud helpline 1930 and file a report at cybercrime.gov.in. Preserve chats, email headers, phone numbers, payment receipts and the job URL. Then report the listing to JobNod so nobody else gets hit.
