No magic, no keyword lottery. Here is the actual pipeline every match goes through:
"AI engineer, 3 years, Bengaluru, no service companies" is read by a language model that extracts structured preferences: role, skills, location, experience, deal-breakers. You can see it anytime with the profile command and edit it by just saying what changed.
Your profile queries live job inventory (where jobs come from). Openings you've already seen in the last week are filtered out, as are listings matching known scam patterns.
Each candidate job is compared against your whole profile for real semantic fit — not just keyword overlap. The top candidates then pass an AI judge that reads the job text and rejects anything clearly wrong (wrong profession, wrong seniority, contradicts your deal-breakers). The judge writes the one-line fit reason you see under each job. It has final say: what it rejects is never sent.
If only one job clears the bar, you get one job. If none do, you get silence. We'd rather be quiet than waste your attention — that's the entire product.
"Not relevant" teaches it what to avoid. Saying "remote only now" re-aims the search. Every morning's batch is a fresh run against your latest profile.
AI does not create listings, decide who gets hired, or see whether a job pays JobNod a referral fee. It does not need your résumé. It ranks openings from external feeds against the preferences you gave us and writes a short fit reason. That reason can be wrong, so always verify role details on the employer's official careers page before applying.
